Decoupage
Decoupage is actually quite simple. Basically, you cut out pictures; you glue the pictures onto an object; and then cover the object and pictures with a few coats of glue/decoupage medium /to protect it. You must be very patiеnt. I have already used napkins for decoupage with children from the second grade and we have made wonderful Christmas crafts.
There are some advantages when you use napkins:
Paper napkins have fantastic designs;
Paper napkins are very thin. Usually paper napkins have 3 layers, in decoupage we used only first printed layer;
Because they are very thin, paper napkins easily blend into a background;
Paper napkins are cheap.
Main disadvantages arising from the use of napkins decoupage:
Paper napkins easily tear;
Paper napkins easily get wrinkled while they are glued.
With napkins you can decorate almost everything –metal, wood, glass, plastic, paper, fabric, ceramic, walls - the possibilities are endless. The only restriction is your own imagination.
